I just got, in the mail, my title. To my car. I paid off my loan a year early, as planned. Then I waited for weeks to get my title. Last time I checked, they said they had sent it to Hamilton County (which is where Cincinnati is) so I was kind of anxious, but they sent it to the BMV down there, who then cancelled the lien, and sent me the title.
